52 New Things: Camped at Lake Mead (40 to go)

Good Morning!

We went camping at Lake Mead in Nevada.  I had never been there before.  It was kind of cool to fill out the paper work, set up our site, make dinner and just do it all.:)  I love camping.  And the weather was perfect.  It was also my first time camping with palm trees.  I usually go to the canyons.

52 New Things: Hoover Dam (41 to go)

Hoover Dam!

We went to the Hoover Dam.  It was scary!  And an amazing engineering feat.

Peter stood on this railing as soon as we got out of the car and jumped off onto the other side.   There's a hill on the other side, but for a second, I had a heart attack and thought I'd witnessed a suicide!  He gave me a few more heart attacks pretending he was going to throw me over the dam.  It's all fun and games until someone passes out because she's so scared and ACTUALLY falls over the dam!

52 New Things: Filed Taxes (42 to go)

Holla for being a productive adult.

Sweet.  I finally made enough money to file taxes:)  We'll see how this whole refund thing goes. I got help in the Tanner Building at BYU because I didn't want to brave the whole tax filing thing by myself quite yet.  I feel like I'll be able to handle it next year, it was pretty straightforward:)

52 New Things: Shredded a Pick (43 to go)

My shredded guitar pick :/

Soo, we were having a jam session.  It was really great!  I dropped my pick inside my guitar mid-song and just grabbed a new one, a little flimsy for how fast and loud we were playing.  When we were done, I tossed it on the counter and Keith started laughing and pointed out that I had totally demolished it (with my face-melting guitar solo....School of Rock. Just kidding. I'm not hard core enough for face-melting solos.) I had never done that before:0
